IntroductionAnode slimes product is a by-product of the electro-refining process and consists of the insoluble impurities from the anode that fall to the bottom of the refining cell. The anode slimes are recovered from the refining cells, are dried in an oven and processed by a metals by-product plant.
The principle insoluble impurities are Silver (Ag), Arsenic (As), Gold (Au), Bismuth (Bi), Lead (Pb), Antimony (Sb), Selenium (Se) and Tellurium (Te).
